Ron Clevenger

Director of Business Serivces

For Ron Clevenger, serving in a senior role at Stay at Home America reflects one of the most important episodes of his life.

“The opportunity to be part of a company that provides services to the elderly is a perfect fit for me. Both of my parents – my mom in Denver and my father in Taos, New Mexico, were adamant about not wanting to leave their home, friends and community and yet both had to face the reality of needing care to assist them in managing their daily lives.”

Ron, a life-long resident of Portland, had a brother in Seattle and a sister in Rochester, NY, so none of the adult children could provide the daily care both parents required. Finally, and reluctantly, both parents felt they had no option but to move to nursing homes. According to Ron, “it was the most difficult decision of their lives.” The episode left Ron with the conviction that there must be another, better alternative.

Ron is responsible for the business and administration of Stay at Home America. He loves the idea of “using my time in meaningful ways to benefit others and doing everything this company can to help elderly and adults with disabilities continue to live successfully and confidently at home.”

Ron has spent many years in positions of service, from his years of duty in the U.S. Navy to numerous community volunteer positions. “I hope my involvement with Stay at Home America will benefit the elderly and handicapped members of this community, and their families, and bring joy and completeness to their lives.”
