William D. Puckett

Director of Home Services

Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)

Bill Puckett’s position with Stay at Home America reflects a life devoted to good works, charitable activity and to high achievement in the engineering and construction industries.

A 1971 graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in engineering, he served in senior management and supervisory roles for Oregon Steel Mills for 20 years. He also did extensive maintenance and repair work on homes in the Portland area, which led to his formation in 1993 of Puckett Construction, Inc., a home building, remodeling and home repair business.

In 1993, he devoted himself to working on the homes of needy families, frequently donating supplies and his labor. Ten years later, in 2003, Bill and his son started Fully Restored, Inc., and together they do home repair and remodeling work, much of it for the needy, along with light commercial work.

As part of his church activities, Bill spent significant time in Biloxi, Mississippi, helping Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. He led teams of workers on demolition, clean-up and construction. This was part of an effort in which the church sent 1,000 people and logged over 1 million hours of labor in the Gulf region.

Bill also is on two local church outreach teams for the home care challenges of widows, single mothers and the less fortunate. He has been part of church efforts to help the Vernonia, OR, community after recent flooding there.

“I’m fortunate to have a deep understanding of home repair and maintenance, and nothing gives me greater pleasure than providing what I like to refer to as a ‘blanket of protection’ around the homes of our clients. Many people feel like they have a ‘calling’ in life, and I am sure this is mine. The Stay at Home organization gives me the opportunity to bring something good to the lives of so many peopleĀ and that is a blessing in itself.”
