How does Stay at Home America you ensure client safety and service consistency?
Stay at Home America’s employees are carefully chosen for their expertise, ability to complete work commitments on time, and excellent reputations. Every employee has passed rigorous background and reference checks and is trained for the needs of the client. Each client has an interdisciplinary team led by a Personal Advocate who serves as the primary contact addressing caregiving consistency as well as checks and balances to protect client assets and reduce risk.
How much will Stay at Home America cost?
Normally, the first meeting between the client and Stay at Home America is in a meeting with one of our personal advocates to assess the individual(s) ability to remain at home. A Home Specialist conducts a dwelling assessment to identify safety issues and potential problems that can be corrected before becoming emergencies. Following the assessments, a plan is developed tailored to the individual or couples needs and costs for the appropriate services are determined.
Who is in charge?
The client and designated family members or friends make the final decision on the appropriate services that Stay at Home America will provide as well as the ultimate decision to remain at home. Stay at Home America is dedicated to maintaining the personal dignity of our clients.
Is it necessary to use all of the services provided by Stay at Home America?
No. Clients and their designated family members or representatives choose the recommended services they believe are appropriate for the individuals circumstances. For instance, it is not necessary to replace a trusted housecleaner or yard worker. However, we do require that all of our clients meet with their personal advocate monthly for on-going client review so that services can be revised when there is a life changing event.
Can Stay at Home America help clients visit with their friends?
Stay at Home America encourages social relationships for a healthy lifestyle and can help maintain the friendships that a client has had for years. A personal assistant can bring friends to visit for a luncheon or take the client for lunch out with friends. We also can transport clients to social events, and even help throw a party.
What about pets?
Pets add to an individuals quality of life. Stay at Home America can assess what help is necessary to take care of pets, and provide those services, such as taking pets to the veterinarian, giving them a bath, or taking them for a walk.
Can’t family or friends provide the help needed?
It may be possible that family or friends could provide some of the assistance needed. However, distance, business commitments, and children often become barriers. With Stay at Home America’s team of professionals, the pressure is taken off of family members and friends. Visits can be times to enjoy each others company without the pressure of doing chores.
Can Stay at Home America prepare taxes?
No. Stay at Home America can help organize tax information for the clients tax preparer. However, Stay at Home does not prepare tax return. The clients trusted accountant or tax preparer is a very valuable asset. Stay at Home America will provide a list of tax preparers at the clients request. The list will not include a firm related to Stay at Home America. This is to avoid any conflict of interest. We also can provide a list of other professionals including attorneys.
Can Stay at Home help with house maintenance?
Yes, if requested, a Stay at Home Americas Home Specialist can provide a maintenance assessment of both the home’s interior and exterior focusing on safety. Our team can provide handyman services, housecleaning, yard maintenance, and minor remodeling projects. We can refer you to reputable contractors for larger remodeling projects and assist with the decision making process. Stay at Home America also can provide project management for larger projects at the clients request.
Why use a vendor referred by Stay at Home America?
If a project requires a provider or contractor with specialized expertise, Stay at Home can refer to screened experts with proven track records, references, and the commitment to complete the required service in a timely manner for a reasonable fee. Stay at Home America receives no compensation from the vendors.
